The Club President's Charity for 2022/2023 is the local branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).

About 5,000 people in the UK are afflicted at any time. I believe the affects are generally well known, primarily because they are so debilitating, despite most patients remaining cognitively sound.

The local branch has discretion over how the funds it raises are directed at local cases.

The Club Captain's Charities for 2022/2023, are:
1) On Course Foundation, a charity that supports ex-service men and women that have suffered with an amputation or stress and they help them into golf, both playing and working.
2) My second charity is a local charity that I am still Chair of and that is The Purfleet Trust. We support the homeless through our training houses and over the last five years that I have been Chair, we have housed 104 clients into rented accommodation and to date, not one has been evicted. The year before lockdown, we got 21 into paid employment and 29 into voluntary work.

Sharon Winterbottom

The Ladies' Captain's Charity is Little Discoverers in Kings Lynn.

They provide early education for pre-school children with movement difficulties and delayed development. They aim to develop children's abilities and confidence in pre-school years, to prepare them for the next stage in their education.

Parents are at the forefront of the child’s learning and development, in order to gain the best outcomes for their child.
